Has anyone tried this WiFi doorbell from Comelit? ADI has them in stock now.

Comelit it is offering a new installler service on their site but then also sells on amazon. Conflicting info.

“The Visto is only available through participating wholesale distributors who only sell to dealers. Here are a few distributors that we sell through“

Visto Doorbell - For Installers

Visto Wifi Has amazon link at the bottom...$199  Adi sells for 139

This ad for the doorbell is all kinds of weird

but maybe it’s a good product?

The documentation says 12÷24 DC power

I assume they meet 12-24. This is a problem because this is supposed to be a door bell replacement. US homes usually use a 16VAC transformer. I guess you could replace it with a DC but now the door bell chime in the home has to be replaced.

When joining a WiFi network, the VISTO doesn’t allow you to choose a hidden SSID and type it in. If you make the AP visible, join, then make it hidden, VISTO drops the connection

there are no reset instructions online or included. If VISTO goes offline you have to hard reset it. Hint: you have to apply power while holding down reset button. Not easy as reset button is on the back and so is the power input. But guess what? Power input isn’t a terminal block...it’s got pins that snap into the base plate terminal block. So you’ve got to very carefully hold bare wires within 1/8” of each other and while using your 3rd hand to push reset.

When joint a visible network, VISTO doesn’t show signal strength. It also lists individual APs even though they are configured as a mesh and every other device in the network sees only “one” AP.

Don’t waste your time with this one guys.
