American Dynamics - Pros And Cons

Hi, What do you think of American Dynamics, and especially VMS and NVR (Victor and VideoEdge)? I like that they run their systems on a special SUSE build and not windows server to avoid all the work with updates of the OS to keep the NVR safe.

But other than that, is it any good or is it falling behind other systems?

It's hard to talk about AD without the impact of them buying Exacq today. Exacq is a formidable VMS offering and is now AD's best overall VMS option.
