I wanted to see if anyone had a solution for 2.5" HDD that were surveillance rated and at least 4 TB.  My product is very small and I can only fit a 2.5" HDD

Thanks

I cannot recommend any 4TB 2.5 form factor with that rating, I too am waiting for that size to come out. I am mostly using Seagate Skyhawk & Western Digital Purple in the 3.5 form factor on my NVR builds. I do have 360 plus Seagate Enterprise Capacity spanned across 45 SFF recorders/NAS, approximately 650 cameras with zero HDD failure over 1.9 years of production. Using the Seagate EC Hdds is a vast savings over using the Cisco UCS hard drives.

There really is not many options outside of a 4TB ssd which is vastly more expensive than a 3.5" hdd. The hdd form factor takes out tons of COTS solutions for CCTV. Would be nice if we can build NUCs with 12tb of hdd space. The real players are moving toward more customized solutions that take 3.5" drives usually using 99% COTS hardware.
