Unifi Camera Compatible With Any Other VMS'?

I have a customer with about 50 of the Ubiquiti Unifi UVC-Dome Cameras installed. We are looking to take him over and have interest in using the Unifi Video Software if we can avoid it.

Does anyone have any experience in getting this camera to talk to a different VMS. Tried Exacq which I can usaully bring in almost anything and can get RTSP, but at full frame and bit.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks

We tried to do the same thing and clean up a botched UniFi implementation in Detroit MI. No luck. To the credit of the IP Configure team they tried but ultimately no luck.

I love the Ubiquiti mission and most of their products especially the wireless products, but the cameras and VMS are junk below consumer grade.

Exacq could work if you but they don't have server-side motion so your only option will be to record 24/7.  WAVE/NX works (have a wireless UNIFI camera connected to my demo WAVE system) and you get server side motion detection but you're only going to get an HD stream from UNIFI cameras so you will have to force motion detection on the mainstream.

Keep in mind UNIFI cameras are nothing special and use 2-3 times the bandwidth/storage of most other IP cameras so you might want to come up with a plan to replace them with a better camera.

Personally, I wish UBNT would stick with networking and wifi and skip all these other systems they release then EOL out of no were.
