As we must use UDP for live streaming . I am using the ports 554-558 & 4520-4524. should i set these ports for the port forwarding in the router as TCP/UDP or as TCP & UDP seperately.

So I've researched this one a bit, and both solutions are used. In general, it looks like using ports 554-558 are used for UDP or UDP/TCP combo, where 4520 and above are used for TCP alone.

If you don't mind including it, which router & model/ vms are you configuring?

I am using the D-link router . DES-1210-28P

So , sir for live viewing its better for me to configure in router for 554-558 as TCP/UDP

and 4520 for recording in the NVR

So you have to set ports for live viewing and for recording? Interesting! UDP is for live and TCP is for recording correct?

Not always. TCP can be used for live viewing as well.
