Just finished IPVM’s Security Camera 101 course... and have registered for the fall IPVM networking course. Planning to install my own 6 camera system on my property. Im an EE but with limited IT experience. I find the security camera industry soooooo segmented and hyped that it is nearly impossible for a DIY’er to sort thru all the marketing BS and find a quality product priced reasonably (not cheap!) that meets ones requirements 😜. There are companies out there, like Backstreet etc, that target DIY’ers like me but they have private label systems that IPVM does not test... I have no idea what I’m buying. Now I see IPVM recently announced accepting limited consulting ... or maybe there are others out there that are “product agnostic” available to help select the “perfect” system😂😂😂. Am I missing something? Suggestions?
