NDAA And Goverment Contractor

I am hoping to get some clarification. From what I've read, the NDAA talks about procuring banned products, not about existing installations. I have a client (manufacturer with military/DoD contracts) who's IT provider told them they had to immediately power down their camera system and replace it with NDAA compliant equipment. If this is true, can someone point me to the section that pertains to this? Thanks!

edit: can someone please correct the spelling of government in the title??
