I believe the cameras are considered as down link and When client workstations recall video from storage considered as an up link to the network. If the network is full duplex then will it be any effect for the camera streaming?

Jul 18, 2018Depends on VMS or NVR programming. My VMS system will attempt to pull from the camera first then goto the VMS recorded stream on Live requests. Recorded requests are obviously always pulled from the recorder. Taxation of that resource depends on your network build out (Unicast vs Multicast, connection speeds) and server design.
