Hanwha Mega ISC West Product Releases
The multi-imagers and analog encoders are the cream of this crop IMO. Unless their thermal offering is ground breaking, it is a me-too-fill-in-the-blank offering, along with the stainless. The mobile stuff is a very niche market, limiting it's overall value. I guess the decoder may have value as well but I have been leaning towards mini PCs for their versatility as viewing stations. The cost is low enough (around $300) and you get a full fledged PC.
Would love to see the 4 imager unit in person.
Agreed. Their 20MP multi-sensor camera is very cool, but massive. I am very interested to see these newer, smaller cameras.
Hanwha has a display dedicated to their mobile lineup at ISC, with one camera encased in a block of ice, another under a constant water jet, and an NVR on a vibrating mount with a weight dropped onto it regularly.
I'll admit, I'm a Hanwha fanboy and a sucker for a good gimmick, but that's pretty cool.
Does anyone have an ETA for the new 4 imager shipping?
Bummer. Looks like Axis is Q3 for the P3717 too. I have a June project that needs a quad imager, low light, varifocal (motorized hopefully), and cover about 220 degrees with 20MP preferably.
Have you previously looked at the Arecont Omni G3 line?
A much smaller option quickly mentioned in another IPVM report.
7FPS limit is way too low. Even if it could do 15FPS, I would consider it an option.
