- downloaded the hik deepinmind firmware update but haven't installed... it's 750MB which i did not expect. standard NVR firmware (9600) is less than 100 MB. crazy.
i will install it when i'm in front of it so i can watch it in case anything goes wrong.

Added all of the 5MP cameras to a tripod for the free image but was raining too much to get one.

SSN is open by default? and can you use the default password?
No, not open by default and no, you cannot use the default password. The default is only used on the initial login and then the user is required to create a password. Password has to be 8 Characters long with a capital and a number.
You said, "Three ports open by default (SSH". Now you say, "No, not open by default")
So which is it?
Yes, SSH is open by default, you asked if SSN was open by default (which I googled and the closest thing was NetBIOS-SSN port 139) and that isn't open. Unless I am missing something here?
