While we talk to and get responses from almost all manufacturers, it generally is of the 'IPVM asks / Manufacturer responds variety'. And we recognize that even among the manufacturers that do talk to us, they often are concerned about negative coverage from IPVM (especially since no other publication would publish negatively on an advertiser).
Because of that, I wanted to emphasize that we are interested in being pitched on stories that would be positive to you. Just email us info@ipvm.com, the worst that is going to happen is that we say we don't think it's significant enough to be covered.
Things to highlight: news or stories that are atypical, e.g., an uncommon product or market move.
Things not to highlight: low level hires or me-too products. We'd rather cover a niche product that is uncommon than the 15th company to release a 4MP camera, etc.
