Call w/Saliq Khan about FLIR, Shotspotter IPO and ADT IPO.
FLIR: He thought our coverage of FLIR this week was pretty good. Agrees the company is a bit of a mess with their product mix. Some general chat about past/present/future speculation on FLIR, nothing new
Imperial Capital handled the Shotspotter IPO. They made their money on that, he agrees the company is risky, but thinks they are going to be able to use DNN's to get more accurate. He says the call center that does the human-verification of alerts is only 3 people on peak shift. Not sure if that is a good sign that the system is pretty good at filtering out a lot of false-alerts, or a bad sign that they don't have that much actvity.
He says the guy heading up ADT/P1 is an industry vet, has done a lot to reduce churn, bump up overall RMR, squeeze out some efficiencies, etc. He does not think the IPO will be this year, more likely early 2018.
Did some more testing on the Hikvision reset software, I think it is unfortunately just the old algorithm in a new wrapper.
