W Box 16 Ch HD DVR Windows VMS Broke

While bench testing 0E-HD16C2TD I discovered the Windows VMS does not display video, live or recorded properly. First it was displaying green shaded weirdness with intermittent good frame coming through. I upgrade F/W per Wbox Tech support recommendation, now I get 1 perfect frame then the video just freezes.

The Web based Application works fine. This is a pattern with Hikvision I have noticed. Inconsistencies between their applications (Web, Windows, Mobile...).

I will call Wbox tech today and see what they recommend next, and report beck here.

What is the name of the W Box software? They don't make anything easy to find on their site.

I had an issue with iVMS-4200 briefly where it would display about 2 seconds of video and then freeze on on playback. Then after a few seconds it would skip to the next motion clip, display fine for a couple seconds, then freeze. It stopped happening, though, and live video was always fine.

Have you tried using using iVMS with the W Box DVR instead? It has worked fine for us in the past and is generally updated more often.

I think (not currently at site) it is Wbox VMS, looks identical to ivms4200 with different color scheme.

If you call tech support, they will give you a website that has the VMS software and latest F/W etc...

I would publish the url here, but not sure if thats okay with them or IPVM, but as I said, all you have to do is call them and they will give it to you.

I did try ivms4200 and I think it was freezing as well., I know it's not the NVR as I am able to see everything fine on Milestone, and the Web interface.
