Swinging Doors And Maglocks

Hi

If the issue has already been discussed,  please feel free to move it or point me to the original discussion:

We are having nightmares with one given swinging door. The issue is that the door doesn't settle at the same position depending on the direction of swing .. A door contractor issue but one that does affect us since.

We have been using the Securitron SAM (Shear Maglock) and they work well in many of our applications. They do require that the door settle well., in some instances we have seen the SAM just catching the door on this way but in some cases,  exact/precise and repetitive settling point is required .. Not sure why.

How do you in the field tackle the issue of swinging doors and access control. We are not married to maglock or Securitron ..Anything that would allow us to get rid of the EXACTING settling point issue would be appreciated ... or anyone best practices  or  product  or hint  ;)

Thanks in advance

Have you considered a mortise lock with a security plate to act as a stop?  It has worked well for us.

A picture of this door would be helpful in order for us to provide some ideas.
