After years of cultivating partnerships with law enforcement agencies, Ring is discontinuing a key feature they used to obtain footage from the doorbell cameras.

This is an unusual development given that the overall trend in security is increasing police access to surveillance and data, such as Flock's national LPR database or Rekor's various police surveillance tools.
