Enabled PPPOE And Now Camera Is Unresponsive

So I was trying to migrate a 6+ year old IPX IP Camera to a HIKvision NVR.  I was using the ONVIF protocol on the NVR with no luck. (This camera might have been pre-ONVIF.)

I logged directly into the camera via a browser and was poking around to see if there was some ONVIF option I need to check.  For whatever reason, I decided to check the "enable PPPOE" option, not really knowing what that even did.  Now the camera is not responding, nor discoverable.  I ran a mac scan and it doesn't show up on it's  old working IP address.

Is there anything short of physically going to the camera and forcing a factory reset?  Also, what did my checking that box do to cause this issue?

PPPoE is mostly a remnant of DSL-era connectivity. By checking that box you probably put the camera into a mode where is it is trying to establish a connection to a non-existent PPPoE server.

If you didn't save the settings, a power cycle might get it back to previous config.
