Only PoE Available At Camera Location, How To Add Audio?

Hi, one of our customers has a project where all Bosch Flexidome 6000VR cameras are powered by PoE. Now they want to add 2 way audio to these cameras. The camera is capable of doing this, but microphones and speakers do need a power supply. There is no false ceiling, so everyhting is to be mounted visibly.. Any thoughts what to use for microphe, speaker, power supply, etc??? (No way to run additional cabling)

Exactly this. The IF-PX takes in PoE and outputs 12V power and acts as a preamp to their microphones. It's likely the cleanest way to do it.

If aesthetics are a concern, you can mount the IF-PX in a separate box and run flex conduit between it and the camera.

UD1,

We use these PoE splitters from Tycon Systems to power our microphones from PoE.  They provide 802.3af and 802.3at compatible power and have great operational temperature range.

Check out ETS.  We've used a lot of their PoE microphone kits that pass power through to the camera.  They are extremely inexpensive (less than $100 for the kit that we purchased) and work great.  Found them after Louroe ticked me off to the point that I'll never use them again.

I know you're looking for 2-way, which I don't have experience with, but it does appear that they have a solution.

Those cameras can be powered via 12VDC. I would probably use a PoE splitter to just pull 12V out of the PoE feed and run the camera, mic and speaker all off a 12V supply.

ETS also carries some un pre-amplified mics if your cameras support that. Still need power to speakers though
