I have searched forums here, last noted article was August 2016 suggesting Western Digital as a better choice. Does this still hold true as Seagate has made some improvements? I'm upgrading machine that is 8yrs old. I believe it still has 1 or 2 original Seagate drives, replaced the others with WD, during flood at time with Seagate. So do I wait till they fail or start out new? I have 5 storage drives and one for OS.
Only feature I see and read about was Skyhawk drives have less vibration, whereas mine are stacked together. So do I assume this plays an important role?
