I am reviewing a design right now that includes the Avigilon 3.0W-H3-DO1-IR outdoor dome with IR. The Avigilon cut sheet indicates power consumption of 9.0W. Here on IPVM the information indicates 22W. Can anyone help me account for this discrepancy? Thanks.

I'm not trying to be a knob or anything, but I honestly don't know if that was sarcastic or not .... it's something I might say in a sarcastic way. I trust that does not offend you.

Trust the cut sheet or the manual?

22W is more than 802.3.af provides, and its listed as class 3 POE, so that also indicates less than 12.95W at the device.

Do you have the H3 camera or do you plan to order this for a project?   I ask because I am 99% sure they are EOL.

That's interesting. It has not been ordered yet. I don't see anything about that on the Avigilon page.

On the latest price list, the H3As have been EOL and the H3 cameras are not even on it anymore so you can't order them anymore.

I would recommend the SL camera if you're looking at the H3 line.  SL has a new sensor in it so the image is going to be better, less bandwidth and much better low light performance.

John, sorry for the error. We've corrected in in our listing for that camera.

As Michael notes, I would recommend using a newer Avigilon product as the H3 series is quite old and not as good as newer series.
