What kind of EOL resistors are used? Is four state supervision supported? First cup of coffee, first IPVM read of the morning.

Edit 1: Just found the standard 120 Ω on their RS485 chain supervision.

Edit 2: 4.7 Ω Pull up on aux inputs.

That isn't an Atlas panel, but an older C3 Bio panel. I'll check to see what supervision EOL resistors they specify on aux circuits, but these aren't typically used for readers, locks, and door position switches.

Yeah, the Atlas datasheet is very similar to the C3, both are using 4.7 Ω on the VIH/VIL.

No four state. Oh well.

Now i didn't read the manual you linked but maybe the button is meant for a request to exit contact shunt than it is for a mag lock override. Every APAC region install I have dealt with they use buttons instead of motions and then use a break glass for mag release if needed. Would make sense since they don't include a 2nd switch of any kind.

That's a key point here. While the button may be acceptable in APAC (Asia-Pacific regions), it could be a big problem for the larger number of IBC/ variant code jurisdictions.

Here is an anecdote on the issue, in an SIW article: Request to Exit Compliance

Noice write up! Regarding street price. ZKteco has a very high MAP street price. Dealer Price is substantially lower.

Great writeup, but there you should make a correction about the Axis A1001 panel, it will support two doors, not just one.

This is wrong :

"An embedded access comparison would be Atlas to Axis A1001 with Entry Managercosting ~$550, but two Axis controllers are needed to manage two doors for a comparative cost of ~$1,100 and that pricing does not include a factory enclosure that will add another ~$50 - $75."

I understand the A1001 will support two readers, and this essentially is two separate doors in many commercial applications (not all), but let me check and I'll update.

The A1001 supports two readers on two separate doors. It has two lock outputs for two separate strikes, two REX/dc inputs etc.

I was not aware if the configuration supported two different levels and schedules schemes, but after checking it does. Interesting, and I fixed the report to reflect this.

You should checkout the Innerrange Inception and Protege WX, both web based systems.
