If there are any veterans making the move to the private sector, I'm happy to share advice and recommendations I learned on making the transition. Just email me at donald@ipvm.com
Free IPVM For Recently Separated Military Members and Law Enforcement Professionals
IPVM is proud to announce a unique membership offer for recently separated military members and law enforcement professionals.
About the Offer
This unique offer consists of full IPVM membership access for (1) year plus (1) IPVM course credit. The value of this offer is $500. The cost for qualifying recently separated military members and law enforcement professionals is $0.
Why this Offer?
Given my background as a former service member, John proposed an interesting question to me- is there anything IPVM can do to support military veterans and law enforcement professionals? Rather than giving a blanket discount- or a special, one-time offer, I suggested something more targeted and focused on professional development.
After serving 6 years on active duty as a US Army officer- the two biggest contributors to my transition to the private sector were education and networking. IPVM provides both of these- and we are excited to open the IPVM community to anyone beginning their transition from public service to the private sector.
Supporting Transition To The Private Sector
I learned through my experiences that making a successful transition to the private sector can be a daunting and challenging process. Translation of military skills and educational experiences are oftentimes misinterpreted and poorly understood by the private sector.
Similarly, law enforcement professionals possess deep, practical understandings of security, but sometimes lack experience with technical requirements, as well as strategic industry perspective.
In both instances, education and industry access are two of the most important aspects of bridging the perceived, or real, skill gaps many face when seeking employment in the private sector. We believe IPVM can help- which is why we are offering this special membership opportunity.
What It Means
Providing IPVM membership for a year and offering a course credit gives an opportunity for public servants to access the most comprehensive security industry resource available- at no cost.
Our hope is that by removing any financial obligation to access our membership, we will encourage transitioning military members and law enforcement professionals to join our ranks and learn from our community of seasoned professionals. And, ultimately, be better equipped in seeking advancement or employment in the security industry.
Who Qualifies?
Any recently separated (within two years of separation) military service member or law enforcement professional.

Nicely done, IPVM! Quality move by a quality organization!
Nice job. I'll definitely share this.
Thoughtful, humble, generous....as it should be. Nice give back!
Well done! I find it rude not to be Wiserclub clapping for you, just in time for Christmas.
Is this offer open to any members of the UK armed forces?
Nice program IPVM. As a Veteran I am overwhelmed with emotion every Nov. 11th with the support this nation and community has for its veterans. I always make a mental note on these organizations and do my best to support them the rest of the 364 days of the year. Thank you IPVM.
It is really great of you guys to do this. I'm a law enforcement user, but I am fortunate enough to have my employer pay for my membership. I'd like to take a class or two some day, but I'm sure I can get those paid for too.
Keep being awesome, IPVM!
Great gesture here. Thanks to all who serve.
This is why members love IPVM
What a great offering!
