Verkada promised an end user ONVIF support "in the unlikely event that Verkada goes out of business", effectively unlocking its 'Hostage as a Service' model but only if Verkada shut down.
This is the first and only evidence of a situation where Verkada would allow cameras customers bought to be unlocked for unlicensed use with 3rd party systems.
