Mobotix's Q2 2009 revenue compared to Q2 2008 was up only 7%, notably lower than the previous quarter (27%) and dramatically lower than last year (when 40-50% revenue growth was routine).

This is covered as part of our analysis of Mobotix's recently released 2008/2009 annual report.

This is not a good sign for the growth of the IP camera market. Until recently, Mobotix was a company routinely cited as weathering the storm (in contrast to steep growth reduction at Axis).

With both Axis and, now, Mobotix showing substantial growth reduction it is becoming clearer that this is a broader trend. On the other hand, many of the smaller IP camera manufacturers are still growing at 30%+ rates.
