Pitching Hybrid DVR Boxes

Given that Genetec now sells hybrid DVRs, it should not be surprising to see them starting to pitch the virtues of using hybrid DVRs as they did in a contributed piece to a security magazine [link no longer available].

This is a sign of changing world where traditional software only providers pitch 'boxes' (and, of course, vice versa). One interesting element will be the acceptance of the Genetec hybrid DVR, given its notably higher price than most mainstream hybrid DVRs.
