At ISC West 2010, Pelco announced an upcoming release of IP thermal cameras. This update shares additional information.

[UPDATE 2013: See our Pelco Thermal test results.]

In an e-mail response from Pelco, they expanded on a few key points:

"Sarix Thermal’s release is scheduled for 3rd quarter this year.  It will be available in both fixed and pan/tilt formats.  We will offer a cost effective 160 x 120 resolution format, as well as 320 x 240 and high resolution 640 x 480.  Lens options will include 6.3mm, 14.25mm, 35mm, 50mm, and 100mm.  The Sarix Thermal products will be housed in their own exclusive integrated enclosure for added environmental and thermal IQ performance.  Final pricing has not yet been solidified. "

Contrast this to currently available options from Axis and FLIR. Pelco's plan, when implemented, would provide a similar range to FLIR's IP thermal portfolio and would significantly exceed Axis' current stated plan for IP thermal cameras.
