We've tested the platform and it's strange to me that they have some capabilities that fall into the category of 'enterprise' features with managed elevator support but don't have any basic mustering reporting capability or anti-passback capabilities...  Overall- they have been good people to work with but the platform is still limited to smb and offices or 'high-end' residential.

Biggest limitation with PDK is you must have a WAN connection to manage the system.  We did a small PDK install and the customers internet connection was going up and down every 5 mins for 2+ hours so we couldn't add users or program the system.  I really wish the cloud based systems would have a local access when the WAN or router is down.

Open it up and it’s a raspberry PI inside. At least the demo unit we saw a couple years ago was set up this way. Kinda near to see off the shelf hardware being used this way.
