Tailgating is one of the toughest and most dangerous problems access control systems face.

The problem is so difficult to solve, alarms and sensors are typically uncommon. Now, Optex's new Accurance 3D [link no longer available] offering claims to stop that.

However, there are significant limitations. In this note, we examine the technology, application, pricing and the key strengths and weaknesses of the offering.
