Competition amongst next-generation metal detector companies is heated as 2 publicly traded companies, Evolv and Patriot One, have been evaluated by the National Center for Spectator Sports Safety and Security (NCS4).

While the NCS4 report for Patriot One has been released, the NCS4 report for Evolv is still being produced while Evolv has objected to IPVM about its weaknesses being made public.
