Thanks for your first comment Vinod! It was tested by Rhombus, Verkada, and Vivotek.

I emailed Axis to see if they plan on certifying or officially supporting its use, however, Axis supports microSDXC already, and they do not define size limits.

Axis responded:

We have this cards in our test setup and have had no problems

Regarding certifying or official support for the Micron card:

We have extensively tested our Axis Surveillance Cards for surveillance recording purposes and can guarantee their proper functioning over an extended period of time. We see the increase of other vendors offering surveillance aimed MicroSD cards. We can support for cards up to 2TB with our cameras, but cannot guarantee or be held responsible for the proper functioning of 3rd party cards.

Curious about this. 1TB is alot of storage on the edge. Do camera manufacturer have to adapt to the large a card or can any camera that has an sd card slot write and retrieve the full 1TB? I assume the VMS needs to support it as well but curious how cameras see a 1 TB card. If they even recognize the space and can actually write to it all.

Now is the time for rsync to onboard these cameras in the field. 1TB today 2TB tomorrow. One change I would make to the card is the form factor to accommodate faster field interchangeability (swap out) that is secure and tamper proof. Do to the small size I would also like to see redundancy and fail-over configurations. Also need a some sort of VMS mod that can push/pull the data to the cloud for remote and stand alone applications.
