From this article it looks promising.  The demos I've seen on S2 Magic Monitor is actually pretty cool. I just hope they didn't use the Lenel Prism as a base for VRx. Good report! Thanks!

They did not use Prism as a base for VRx, it was developed in-house by S2.

I'm very interested, as I'm sure other VARs are, at how this changes the ideal deployment for Lenels2 in the next year.  With another NVR solution under their own roof, why the extended partnership with Milestone?

You can make your lenel numbers by selling milestone via lenel.

I can't determine whether this comment is very clever or is very sad in terms of the repair needed for Lenel.

Milestone is still a more mature product today with a larger driver database, and thus may still be preferred by many clients over VRx, at least until VRx becomes more mature. I expect that they still may be selling Milestone alongside VRx for at least another year or two.

We like S2 and have been seeing VRx now in demos for a while, with a positive impression.  Have not spec’d It in yet on a project.
