Top ISC West 2018 Booth Moves

By IPVM Team, Published on Jan 23, 2018

ISC West spending frequently signals market expansion and trend shifts. In 2016, the surge of Chinese exhibitors underscored the race to the bottom. In 2017, deep learning marketing signaled its expansion, at least in terms of hype. Now, in 2018, what are the top trends and moves.

In this note, we examine these moves.

Awesome! Great info. I am excited to see the IPVM booth and meet you guys!

@ipvm You should have exhibited next to Knightscope!  :)

very happy that you guys are there- I'll drop by and say hi!

What time is the Cocktail Social?  Love to place some faces with the names.

Awe... Poor Security Today

Also, watch out for a promotion we are doing on the show floor. It will be interesting...

Dunking booth would be killer!

Dunking booth would be killer!

You trying to get banned from IPVM, Chad? :) Or maybe throw pies at me...

If you need bodyguards please let me know :)

If you need bodyguards please let me know :)

With bodyguards like you, who needs enemies :)

Looking forward to shake your

hand :)

I don't recall mentioning who would be getting dunked..... You pay my airfare and admission, and I will take the 1st round of dunking.

Although I don't think I would draw nearly the crowd as you. So assuming you to be the dunked, was correct.

The dunk tank idea has been mentioned before.  It first was discussed way back on the (long gone) IP Video Market.info LinkedIn forum:

And it looks like that one had a booth babe too :)

I doubt booth babes will be involved in IPVM's on-floor promotion. Maybe we'll get to see IPVM's Amazing Human Camera Calculator!

FYI, our absence is no indictment of the mini-booths! They were great for Camio last year. This year, we'll be in our partner IC Realtime's booth instead.

you are in good company.

The real question is will IPVM have booth babes? lol

Yes, but only scantily dressed men...

In all seriousness, background for others - The Sleaziest Booth Of ISC West - Rapid Response.

And, ironically, ever since signing up for an ISC West booth, every week we get some random email from companies offering booth 'models'. Annoying.

I'm no babe, but I'd hang out in your booth.  At least I can answer some techie questions.

It is a 5'x10' booth, not sure there would be space after we make room for the dunk tank and magician.

Also, watch out for a promotion we are doing on the show floor. It will be interesting...

Zwirn Bobble Head giveaways?

I heard that you can print out your IPVM test certs and bring them to the booth where there will be a Notary Public to endorse them.

Notarized > ANSI Accreditation

John, will you be on booth duty at all?  It sure would be good to meet you.

Update added to this post:

NVIDIA Reduces Show Presence

In 2017, Nvidia had a major physical presence in the middle of the show floor but in 2018, they are having a smaller display in the lobby and a meeting room.

However, there will be plenty of deep learning displayed on the show floor with both Dahua and Hikvision centering their large exhibits around the technology. Hopefully, Hikvision will be giving out improved firmware for their poorly performing Deep Learning NVR.

In lieu of Nvidia's own booth, they are sending out a guide / floorplan for their 21 partners at the show:
