Format / Structure

IPVM will start each session with a concise explanation of a topic's core issues and then open the floor to a moderated Q/A and debate amongst attendees and IPVM.

The goal of the IPVM conference is for attendees to interact with each other and IPVM, gaining a deeper understanding of strategic challenges and how it impacts their organizations.

Topics To Be Covered

The conference will consist of a series of strategic topics that will be debated / discussed for 45 minutes to 1 hour, including:

How will video analytics disrupt traditional video surveillance?

Will SaaS defeat incumbent manufacturers?

100 Total Registrants

We are limiting the event to 100 registrants, despite having 15,000+ members as it is our first event and because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Proof of COVID Vaccination

All attendees will need to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination prior to or on-site in October.

2 Per Company Max

We are asking each company to only register 2 people max.

Refund Policy

Prior to August 1st, IPVM will offer a full refund to any attendee, for any reason.

2022 Conference

While this show will be limited to 100 registrants, we are planning a much larger 2022 Conference that will consist of (1) strategic debates plus (2) technology analysis and (3) company presentations. This will be announced in early 2022.

No Sponsors

Of course, like IPVM itself, these conferences will have no sponsors nor advertisers, etc.

"I am looking forward to discussing and debating these topics with you in real life!"

Could be almost as fun as debating the color green in person with Rachel Madow. I'm in....no I'm not; I'm not fully vaccinated yet. I'll have to defer until the FDA Actually approves the experimental drugs.(EUA doesn't cut it)..my heart is already large enough. Maybe 2022 will work out...

Lol, the Hilton Hawaiian Village is a great place but a bit far for most people. You know but, for others, our first office was across the street from there and many of our early tests show the Hilton Hawaiian Village.

Yes, I know. I grew up across the street at The Canterbury.

No, in-person only. It will not be streamed and it will be off the record so participants can debate without concern of being quoted by name on the Internet.

"Any virtual tickets?" Maybe, but you still need your shots. May get covid via zoom or podcast. $2000 might get you a front row remote seat. Granted, no breakfasts, lunches or dinner but vouchers for McDonald's and a frozen pizza may suffice.

is this open to manufacturers too?

Yes, it's open to all members. It's not a sales event so whether it's an integrator, distributor, or manufacturer, that's fine. The issue is anyone trying to sell, will be kindly asked to not come/leave. Certainly, people can network, the focus is on a high level of discussion on strategic issues.

I'm thinking I will be able to make it even after going to GSX the week prior. I think attendance will be better at the IPVM event anyways :D

I think GSX will do well this year, lot of pent-up demand and people who may not go to ISC West in July.

Btw, for reference for others, GSX is the week before (Monday 27 - Wednesday 29). We are the following week on Wednesday, Oct 6, and Thursday the 7th. Our idea is that most people prefer later mid-week dates than the start of the week (and if some people are flying in they can then stay in the NYC area for the following weekend).

Isn't GSX = ASIS? You mean ISC right?

No I mean ASIS GSX which is end of September while ISC West is in July.

ASIS in July, is the part I meant. ASIS GSX is September, ISC is July. Am I reading it wrong?

"All attendees will need to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination prior to or on-site in October."

This is just wrong. It's your event, and under your control but feels wrong, nonetheless. I won't support it for this reason alone. I'm pretty certain the other 14,900+ won't miss it too much either. Sort of like a "special" experi"mental" drug club(sorry EUA isn't good enough). 100 sheep; enjoy.. Remember, you must still social distance. Don't get caught or you may be asked to leave. I would rather take the grand and burn it in the back yard this time around; I just may.

Does the attendee need to be an IPVM member? My company has many people on our membership and we want to send 2 people. Do the specific 2 people need to have an IPVM membership?

Thanks.

At $5 to $10 in surveys, it might take a while. You could use your commenting credit votes!
