Hi and thanks for a good test,
did you notice when connecting the camera to Avigilon VMS if it used one or four licenses?
It actually uses four. Our system status is shown here with just the PanoVu connected:
We'll update the report with license requirements for each VMS, as well.
Is this to be expected with Exacq as well? I am in the process of quoting this camera and am curious as to how many licenses I need to purchase. Hikvision recommended one license. Now you've got me worried.
Nope, it's one license. With just that camera added:
(That's 20 total camera licenses and only one used)
Update:
After retesting using firmware shared by Hikvision Corporate (V5.5.30 build 180307), we found the following:
Are there any adjustments that can be done to make the IR pattern copasetic with a specific lens config?
Are they adaptive IR, with each illuminator associated with a sensor?
Or do they all just work at full power all the time once triggered?
Anyway you guys can test this on Salient?
Salient indicated that they have recently tested and support the DS-2DP1636Z-D with their 4.8 software version, but:
We haven’t yet tested the 20MP model but it would likely work as well.
Got it to work with their generic driver Lens 1 is 101, 2 is 201, etc.. Didn't bother trying to get remote zoom to work.
Not right now but definitely plan to test the next version of Salient (whenever it is released) and can try that combination at that time. Also, I asked Salient if they have any experience integrating this model
If this camera is flush-mounted to a ceiling, does it retain the waterproof property, or does it require the hat? I'd like to mount it under an outdoor balcony.
It should be fine. They don't explicitly show that method in the manual, but there is nothing sealing the gap between the sunshield and the rest of the camera, and the top of the plate has a foam gasket across essentially the entire thing:
The housing itself is sealed, with only pigtails exiting:
Update:
Added a section explaining Hikvisions intrusion analytic performance. Intrusion analytics on the Hikvision DS-2CD6D54FWD-IZHS are only available on two out of the four imagers. In our tests, even with optimized settings, the intrusion analytics often alarmed on shadows/noise in the scene.
