While Hikvision sent a letter to its business partners saying they are evaluating the "veracity" of FT's report that the US treasury is "laying the groundwork" of sanctions on Hikvision, Hikvision last year hired an ex-US Treasury OFAC specialist to lobby against such sanctions.
