Hikvision or Dahua are not in Europe to make some profit, they are here to gain market share and destroy all the competitors from Asia (Korea, Taiwan etc.). It is hard for them to beat western CCTV brands such as Axis, Avigilon, Geutebruck because of the quality of the HW and SW. Offering solution, with main argument which is good price, is not everything.

Those two companies are destroying each other with their hunting for bigger numbers. Dahua does not care how much Bosh, Axis or Avigilon is selling in specific country they just care how Hik is selling ... and vice versa ..... this is sick and the growth for both of them will go down

Cannot agree with you. Hikua beat all the other companies in revenue, and I'm so tired to fight every €... It's so difficult to be competitive against a 10 times cheaper camera. Most customers don't care about the quality. In Europe (I think the entire industry), cameras are just commodities... The only way is fight with the software and advanced analytics. Hikua are terrible developing software...

Use GDPR as a tool to fight HikVision and Dahua... IPVM.com have had some good articles on the topic.

GDPR?? Are you kidding?

I don't understand your answer... I'm talking about price and value... I don't understand how the GDPR is involved here.
