The 'Last Chance to Save' On Hikvision Is Here

Published Sep 29, 2016 12:20 PM

It is over.

After at least 8 across the board price cuts in the past 10 months, including an unprecedented back to back 20% off, Hikvision has declared that this one will be the 'last chance'.

But Hikvision has already significantly changed the terms of this 'last' offer. Inside, we examine Hikvision's move here.

they cant stop those hands building products or they will be out in the street protesting against the party

Cant have that, so more sales so they can move more product.

Only a fool would think this is the last chance. I'm very confident there will be more of these sales. Especially considering the distribution reps say they work and like them.

I expect a "year end sale" and maybe even a thanksgiving One too.

Is this saying that Turbo HD is 15% off and Value plus is 20% or something else?

On the other hand, this could attract new partners...

Don't sign up before you place your order though... :)

Not likely. I called around to distributors to try and get clarification on that, but the email had just come out, and nobody seemed to know for sure. In the past the discounts were tiered with order size, which is the most likely scenario here (>$1000 is 15% off, >%2000 is 20% off, as an example).

Hikvision also sent out another email late yesterday saying the promo codes may vary by distributor, and was more emphasizing the 15% discount. Overall it seemed like a poorly organized campaign this month.

In that case, I suppose there is no harm in trying Promo Code HKF1598 first, (or even HKF1599)...

Greater than $2000!?!? What is that nowadays, like 50 Hikvision cameras?

I was hoping for another 20% off like the last one. But, since I rarely sell 8CH NVRs, anything under 4MP, or TVI, this sale was a dud for me.

It's never, ever really the "last chance".

For those of you in the Midwest, does this not sound like the weekly Art Van sales tv ads? My father worked in sales there when I was young and all they did was swap out the discounted price tag for another, though different colored, price tag at the same price.

"Everything must go sale"

"Absolutely everything must go sale"

"Warehouse liquidation sale"

"Tent sale"

"Ad nauseum sale"

Reading about how it doesn't apply to existing partners made me think of this scene at 48 seconds.

Wow.I don't understand why anyone would stock anything hikvision with practices like these. But I also don't understand how anyone can sell hikvision and sleep at night, so no surprise there.

Because the $5 difference between hik and other options is making that big of a difference? If so, they're not charging enough.

But the practice of undercutting the competition by just $5 is so offensive it would keep you awake at night?

Not the price that would keep me up at night. Or the undercutting. Nor am I offended. ;)

Sure, there's money in the mattress, just not a lot of it.

New Hikvision sale - now back to all products, with a special emphasis of 'double dip' for Hikvison's dealers:

Btw, what does the woman in the red dress mean here?

Either

  1. She's moving West into the sunset, casting a crimson shadow upon everything in her wake, and extinguishing the already waning rays of the Sun.
