High PoE Outdoor Illuminators Examined (IR/White Light)

By: John Honovich, Published on Jun 14, 2010

Raytec has announced outdoor High PoE IR and white light illuminators (the product series is RAYMAX 50 HP POE [link no longer available]). This is Raytec's (and we believe) the first outdoor PoE illuminator. Raytec already has an indoor PoE product offering - RAYMAX 25 IP [link no longer available].

The series has a maximum distance of 60 meters / 197 feet at a beamwidth of 10 degrees.

This series is an alternative to Raytec's existing RAYMAX50 Fusion series [link no longer available] that provides 12/24V AC/DC power.

The HP POE product line has an MSRP of $675 USD (for both IR and whitelight, all beamwidths). The low voltage alternative, Fusion, has a lower MSRP of $545 USD.

Earlier in June 2010, we commented and shared a Raytec product overview/video.
