They are definitely arrogant. We encountered a problem with their pivCLASS readers in the field. Random readers would suddenly start to report invalid PINs for ALL cards. Cycle the reader power and they worked as expected again. HID wanted to blame everything from our access panels to the wiring and even the power supplies. They insisted nobody else had reported any issues. After much research and expense on our side we were finally able to reproduce the problem at will. Even after providing this data it took over 30 days for HID to even acknowledge the problem! It took over 6 months since the problem began before they had a fix available. HID treated this as nuisance for them and something they would address when they had the time.
