Axis has announced a series of student projects for specific video surveillance research topics. This is for Master's Thesis and the program is based in Lund, Sweden.
The topics provide a glimpse into technical areas that Axis seeks improvements. These include:
- Auto-focus algorithm for Network PTZ cameras [link no longer available]
- FPS Performance Measurement [link no longer available]: an important issue for customers demanding/requiring full frame rate video
- System Resources Quota Techniques [link no longer available]: an important issue as Axis attempts to expands it cameras to be a platform for applications/analytics
- Power Optimization Tools and Techniques [link no longer available]
Update 2012: Axis continues to regularly release new student projects that show a glimpse into their research goals.
