IPVM Moderates Seller's Presentations

While companies can present for free, IPVM experts will moderate all presentations, asking critical questions and pointing out general risks to consider. Moreover, the IPVM community will participate, bringing its collective wisdom to raise relevant issues.

Criteria Used For Selection

No presenters pay IPVM anything. It is free to presenters to ensure that anyone can showcase their products and IPVM is not biased towards the presenters (as traditional shows all work).

How The Live Presentation Works

IPVM will moderate the 20-minute presentations followed by a 10-minute Q&A session. IPVM will ask questions on behalf of the audience.

Presentations Recorded On-Demand

Every presentation will become its own video for on-demand viewing in the IPVM online show portal (watch 450 recordings now). Presentations will be uploaded within 24 hours of each day's final session.

I'm not sure how the process usually unfolds for show slots... I'm curios though, did IPVM reach out to Verkada to offer them a spot? Id be interested in knowing if they declined to come demo their product in front of an audience that understands the industry. Instead of just setup Yeti giveaways to people whos jobs aren't video security.

Hi Alex,

Yes, IPVM reached out to Verkada & Meraki to present, but did not receive a response from any of the individuals contacted.

If anyone at those companies read this and want to present themselves, you are welcome to do so. Please contact me immediately.

Milestone did not wish to present, but will have a representative present in chat to answer questions/give feedback during the 'Milestone by IPVM' session.

As a facetious side note based mostly on cybersecurity fantasy: I'd be sorely disappointed if I don't at least once in my lifetime witness you hack the pants off a cloud based company in real time while hearing them try to present in real time about how secure they are.

Being that I am currently studying for the CompTIA Security+ and reaching beyond, I am always assuming someone of your talent will be on the red team just to maintain my standards. :D

VSaaS bugs me because it actually is somebody else's computer, so if you ever do manage to hack the pants off them, you're probably committing a crime. Which is annoying because they very well could have gaping holes like any other software. I find testing locally to be much less problematic.

Have fun with the Sec+ test. Remember to answer all the questions even if you think you're doomed. I completed the trifecta last year, and every time I thought I was going to fail, but always got a pretty good score. So don't give up. Also, I can't recommend Professor Messer enough.

Hopefully, I can also complete the Pentest+ , CASP+, and CySA+ in 2022.
