Dahua Promotes Ex-Huawei Executive as President

Dahua has promoted its overseas business head, Jason Zhao, to president, marking the second time it appointed a former Huawei executive to its top post. Dahua's president from 2017-2020, Li Ke, was Zhao's boss at Huawei Latin America.

Dahua described the move as "normal" and said Dahua remains headed by founder and chairman Fu Liquan, dismissing concerns Fu is distracted by Dahua's electric car venture LeapMotor.

Dahua is increasingly dependent on developing countries in Latin America, Asia, and Africa due to rising scrutiny and sanctions in Europe and the US.
