We had wondered how they were selling them so cheaply, ( and direct via Anixter). That info was never brought to light until IPVM exposed it.
They're Sr. Level Management denied the direct sell part when confronted multiple times - I suppose "the Anixter did it" excuse gave them plausible deniability
Zhuhai plant is highly automated so moving is not so hard, but what about Pcb, plastic and metals vendors that is the strength of China.
Duty is higher from China and so are logistic costs , Bosch no doubt has large sales in the EEC to support the uncommon market sales. Then there are tax incentives building in Portugal.
So it’s NOT all made in China that’s driving this, I bet. Lots of companies have been looking for a few years to get out of China due to freight, long pipelines, tax holidays expiring etc
fantastic news. Maybe you should keep a list of companies that are leaving china

They will be the first of many..
We all know what's going to happen when this situation simmers down.
Sanctions, huge import taxes on items from china... Someone has to pay it back...
Given the choice I would buy British / US / German / French over Chinese any day, this just seals the deal. Just need to get the price right..

Props to Bosch on this, but I'm still livid they OEM'd those Divar NVRs and HVRs from Dahua
