That glare reduction with the IR pass filter is impressive. Is this a new technology? Are others using it?

Canon VB-M50B already has it as a third filter option („clear IR“).

It's not new technology, but it's a pretty rare implementation. We know of very few surveillance cameras using it, with the Q1798 and the Canon model Sebastian mentions the only ones I'm aware of. IR pass filters have been available for a long time, but generally limited to specialty photography.
