Axis claims their Motion Adaptive Exposure provides "excellent image quality in high-motion scenes" by automatically adjusting for fast-moving objects, but how well does it work in the real world?
We bought an Axis P3247-LVE to test Motion Adaptive Exposure, examining the following:
- How effective is Motion Adaptive Exposure in low light scenes (2 lux, 1 lux, and below)?
- How does subject speed impact performance (running vs. walking)?
- How does MAE affect other camera settings?
- Axis response to our testing
