Axis Adds LPR - License Plate Verifier Examined

By: Sean Patton, Published on Jul 24, 2018

Axis is finally releasing their own License Plate Recognition software application called License Place Verifier, but it has some significant limitations.

LPR software running onboard Axis cameras is not new, but previously required a 3rd-party ACAP application, such as one IPVM tested from ipConfigure.

In this note, we review this new offering from Axis including:

  • Solution Overview
  • VMS Integration
  • Product Availability
  • Pricing
  • GDPR Concerns
  • Camera Support
  • Speed of Capture / Angle of Incidence Requirements
  • Outlook
