No one should be afraid of DIY, there's still plenty of opportunity for everyone. We have our own DIY company. The reality is most people who call the DIY company ends up paying us to install the system anyways. We've had only had a few people actually do it themselves. The most Amazon and Google promote their products, the more people become interested in security systems. This is good for us. Let them spend a million dollars a year and drive more customers to our business. Our residential business was laughable 7 years ago. Not it's generating significant revenue.

Exactly they call us to install it which we may make a few quick bucks but there is no recurring revenue. We have also found that these types of customers that want to pay us a minimal amount and are the most likely to leave us with a horrible online review. Their WIFI is often out and they are calling expecting to talk to our in house tech support when we don't fix their internet issue it's our fault.

Well...ADT does have their own DIY brand as well. We do too and for good reason. DIY isn’t going to takeover the entire industry. However, it’s important to offer a product.
