Analyzing ADI Branch Sales

By: John Honovich, Published on Jan 29, 2016

ADI's branches are the heart of the trunkslammer / low end installer network. Cameras on ADI's shelves are more likely to be sold, as the value of convenience regularly trumps more sophisticated product selection for this side of the market.

But what manufacturers and products dominate ADI's branches? In this note, we rank the 11 manufacturers who made the cut, looking at their relative positioning and the impact on the market.

Can you see qty_on_hand for each model?

How do you suppose the rankings would change if you were to count the actual units? Looking at it that way might indicate sales velocity.

I would guess the Arecont and other "expensive" models on the shelf are only there by accident. Return, cancellation, project return.

We looked at multiple branches and they all stocked a wide array of Axis and a few Areconts. As such, I don't believe it was because of return, cancellation or project return.
