Milesight Technology, a PRC company building an International branded business, says they are slowly building their presence through a series of distribution partnerships—not all of them with traditional security distribution outlets.
Further, Milesight claims the quality and performance of its offerings and new solutions are positioning the company for an uptick in adoption among those "who understand technology."
In this note, based on our talks with Milesight President Michael Slack, we look at:
"they prefer to grow slowly, allowing each distribution outlet to dominate in the area for a while and build the brand"...we were dealing with them in Italy around 2015/16 in a superfast market as cctv is it seems there hasn't been this growt ,at least not in our market since we don't work with them anymore and i've never heard about them since then....so i'd say yes, their desire to grow slow is answered....i remember they imposed a strict brand policy (no OEM, no rebrand) and that's seriouse about the company...at least it shows they were willing to emerge as a Brand
They had, at the time, some interesting products like some of the very first compact camera ( both bullet and dome)with p-iris a VMS that was less than ridicolouse and small compact NVR with 2.5" hdd (nvr had some kind of issue that i don't even remember anymore probably not enough troughput to support camera's resolution,or maybe heathing/cooling problem?)
they had SIP protocol and mic on camera that was usefull for doorbell sistems and domotic and that's mostly the reason why we aproached them but it just wasn't love and that's it
