When I had looked at this camera previously, it did not have any camera side motion detection, limiting its usefulness with VMSs like Exacq that do not have server side motion detection. Has this changed?

It is something I believe they are looking into. Providing motion on Exacq and other VMS manufacturers is crucial to their future success. Really slick product and huge potential.

Dec 19, 2014Still no camera side motion detection - they tell me that model will be out mid to late (my guess) 2015. I tested the b&w one with Avigilon - I like the different form factor for some applications but until this next release comes out which should have day/night and camera motion side its not really a viable option.

Dec 23, 2014What stream was used on the Arecont model? I highly doubt it was an RSTP stream. Anytime you use that stream it is not going to optimally display the image. That really doesn't show a true apples to apples comparison if that is the case. While I do understand why you used the RSTP stream for the Scallop imaging cameras I woukd rather have seen the displayed images from VMS partners that were both integrated.
