Were settings in these cameras at default for the different scenes. Or was it necessary to set any of them in a specific mode optimized for the scene.

Hi John,
Nice work! For the low light shootout, I am not sure if you had to re-take the images from all tested cameras again if you add a new camera here since I am not sure this is a controlled enviroment. Or as an alternative, I noticed vendors at different shows place a lux meter close to the subject to give visitors a checkpoint of the illuminance level. Thanks.
Feng, those cameras are tested side by side at the same exact time so it's quite well controlled.
That's better that doing it at different times and different setups with different lux meters, which makes it much harder to determine if the results carry across.
Ethan takes a lux reading before each run. Ethan, please reply as well as update it with the actual value.
Sorry, I didn't see these comments! The indoor scene is about 295-300 lx in daytime, and less than 1 lx at "night." Tests in this room are fairly consistent from test to test, because there's only a very small window in the door which we can black out if need be, but these readings have been consistent so far.
John- how does Vibrant Mode impact the bandwidth? I suspect it would be higher with increased saturation and sharpness.
In practice, I found no real difference in bandwidth. I have this camera on my desk right now, also, and quickly changed between modes to confirm that.
Ethan- what about in low light color mode and at night?
